Holly Ward, M.Ed., Licensed Professional Counselor Associate
I understand that it can be difficult to make the call asking for help—I’ve been there myself and know that it takes courage. I also know how powerful and life changing it is to have a safe space to explore and express your innermost thoughts and feelings. It is my hope that you find counseling to be a worthwhile hour of your week to sort through whatever it is that weighs you down and walk away feeling lighter, freer, and more capable of moving forward in your life.
My goal as a counselor is to promote growth, healing, and well-being for my clients. I focus on treating those who are experiencing symptoms of anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, and/or major life changes. I also enjoy guiding clients on their journeys to self-discovery. My approach is holistic and I utilize humanistic, goal-oriented, and mindfulness-based therapy methods. It is my passion to guide and empower clients to solve their problems and find answers within themselves.
I am professionally trained through Lamar University's Master of Education in Counseling & Development program with a concentration in Marriage, Couple, and Family Counseling. During my practicum and internship, I gained experience working with survivors of domestic violence and/or sexual assault in a non-profit setting. Since graduating, I’ve worked in private practice and institutional settings with individual and group clients of various ages. I’m currently working as an LPC Associate in the State of Texas under the supervision of Dr. Evelyne Fitzgerald, LPC-S, RPT-S.
Outside of counseling, I find joy in practicing yoga/meditation, traveling, hiking, music, and spending time with family and friends.
